The Assembly has before it three draft resolutions recommended by the Third Committee in paragraph 31 of its report.
Before proceeding further, I should like to inform members that action on draft resolution II, entitled "Global efforts for the total elimination of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance and the comprehensive implementation of and follow-up to the Durban Declaration and Programme of Action", and draft resolution III, entitled "International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination", is postponed to a later date to allow time for the review of their programme budget implications by the Fifth Committee. The Assembly will take action on draft resolutions II and III as soon as the reports of the Fifth Committee on their programme budget implications are available.
We will now take a decision on draft resolution I. Draft resolution I is entitled "Inadmissibility of certain practices that contribute to fuelling contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance". A recorded vote has been requested.
