We turn first to the report of the Second Committee contained in document A/57/531.
May I take it that the General Assembly wishes to take note of the report of the Second Committee contained in document A/57/531?

The Assembly will now turn to the draft resolution recommended by the Second Committee in paragraph 6 of its report contained in document A/57/531/Add.5.
The Second Committee adopted the draft resolution entitled "International Year of Mountains, 2002". May I take it that the Assembly wishes to do likewise?

The General Assembly has thus concluded this stage of its consideration of agenda item 86.
