The Acting President

The Assembly will consider the report of the Third Committee on agenda item 102 entitled "Advancement of women". The report of the Fifth Committee on the programme budget implications of draft resolution I is contained in document A/57/658.

The Assembly will now take a decision on the six draft resolutions recommended by the Third Committee in paragraph 34 of its report and the draft decision recommended by the Committee in paragraph 35 of the same report.

We turn first to draft resolution I, entitled "Future operation of the International Research and Training Institute for the Advancement of Women".
