The President
Members may recall that on 19 September 1997 the Assembly decided to include this item in the agenda of the present session. In view of the fact that the Assembly is expected to consider at its fifty-third session a request from Burundi contained in document A/53/290 to delete this item from the agenda of the fifty-third session, may I take it that it is the wish of the Assembly to conclude our consideration of agenda item 57?
