I should like to inform representatives that, following consultations regarding agenda item 48, "Question of the Falkland Islands (Malvinas)", and taking into account General Assembly decision 51/407 of 25 October 1996, it is proposed that the General Assembly decide to postpone consideration of this item and to include it in the provisional agenda of its fifty-third session.
May I take it, therefore, that the Assembly, taking into account decision 51/407, wishes to defer consideration of this item and to include it in the provisional agenda of the fifty-third session?
